| Chocolate ( a Sonnet) So rich and creamy, melting in my mouth, The sinful pleasure taking over me; It thrills me so, I want to scream and shout And stay forever in sweet ecstasy. Mere love hath not the power to compare To this, to which all pleasure doth aspire, An obsessive, compulsive love affair Enticing me to give in to desire. Temptation strong, I wantonly indulge. And throwing caution to the wind -- enjoy! This secret vice, too shameful to divulge, My battle-of-the-bulge it will destroy. I eagerly relent, my pride erased When lured by such a rich, seductive taste. |
