China Doll Little china doll, sits up on the shelf. Mama's china doll, so pretty by herself Little lonely girl, always does what's best. Mama's little girl, in a pink and white lace dress. Little china doll, never laughs or cries. Little lonely girl, sits alone and sighs. All because ... Mama says ... Don't play with the china doll. She's not a toy you see. Don't touch the china doll. She means so much to me. Don't play with the china doll. She just might break you know. Don't touch the china doll. She's only there for show. Little china doll, never hopes or dreams. Little lonely girl, was never loved it seems. Little china doll, so pretty on the shelf. Little lonely girl, sits all by herself. And now momma says ... Don't talk to the lonely girl, she'll know not what to say. Don't smile at the lonely girl, she'll only turn away. Don't ask the lonely girl, she never learned to dance. Don't play with the lonely girl, she'll never take the chance. Don't you know that ... She's a china doll, never laughs or cries. She's a china doll, sits at home and sighs. She's a china doll, never hopes or dreams. She's a china doll, Will never love ... it seems. Just because ... Mama said ... Don't play with the china doll ... (fade) © 1995, 2000 Bobbie Ann Pimm

Alone (In a Crowded Room) (Intro) Here I am, again, alone, in a crowded room . . . (Chorus) No one here I see. No one here but me, in this crowded room, alone, with you on my mind. I can't help but wonder, if you're thinking of me? Are you looking for me when I'm not there in a crowded room alone with you? (Refrain Chorus) And still I wonder, do you smile at me, when you're thinking of me, if you're thinking of me, when you're alone in a crowded room? (Refrain Chorus) © 1997 Bobbie Pimm

For So Long (Intro) One of these days I'm going to Wrap my arms around you And never let you go And never let you go As I get lost in your eyes And find what I've been searching for For so long (Chorus) For so long I've been waiting For so long, anticipating For so long, wanting To be by your side To be by your side Wherever you are I feel you inside me Loving me always Loving me always This yearning so strong I won't make it Much longer without you Much longer without you And I'll surely lose my mind I've been waiting for you For so long (Chorus) For so long I've been waiting For so long, anticipating For so long, wanting To be by your side © 2000 Bobbie Ann Pimm

This Lady Doesn't Sing The Blues You always listen to the lady who sings the blues. It makes you feel so good inside. Did you think, you could make me blue, too? Me, cry -- I refuse. Because this lady doesn't sing the blues. Perhaps you thought that when you left, I would break down and cry. But there's just one thing you should know, You left -- You lose. 'Cause this lady doesn't sing the blues. When you hear this you may say, "What a WITCH" You're absolutely right. Only I say it, , "Woman In Total Control of Herself" My life -- I choose. And this lady doesn't sing the blues. (Chorus) Didn't Momma tell you (The blues is for losers) Don't you know (No one ever wins) I'm not a loser -- are you? ©1993 Bobbie Pimm; 1995 Bobbie Pimm

One Magic Moment One touch of your hand One glance from your eyes One caress of your lips Has brought me such surprise Till now I never knew that I was waiting for your touch Looking for your eyes I was wanting just your kiss Hoping for your sighs One magic moment To live forevermore To treasure ever dearly And remember evermore One touch of my hand One glance from my eyes One caress of my lips Has brought to you surprise I bet you never knew that You were waiting for my touch Looking for my eyes You were wanting just my kiss Hoping for my sighs. One magic moment To live forevermore To treasure ever dearly And remember evermore © 1993 Bobbie Pimm

Unspoken Love Keep it locked up inside; all our feelings, long denied. Never, ever let them know of the love, we want to show. Please, please, don't make a scene. Keep it peaceful and serene. No one else needs to know of the love we can not show. (Chorus) Our love doesn't need expression. There is a mutual perception of love unspoken and forever true, in a time and place for me and you. Two hearts, torn apart by a love that must not start. We keep fighting back the tears building up for all these years. And so we still make believe, we don't feel what we perceive. Though deep inside we really know, all the love we just can't show. (Repeat Chorus) Our love doesn't need expression. There is a mutual perception of love unspoken and forever true, in a time and place for me and you. © 1996, 2001 Bobbie Ann Pimm

If I Told You (Chorus) If I told you that I love you, would you say it back to me? If I put my arms around you, would you hold me tenderly? If I kissed your lips, so warm and true, would you kiss me back again? Or would you turn to run and hide, like you did when you were ten? When you were ten Mary Rose, kissed you in the park? You ran home and washed your cheek, then hid alone til dark. And when you went to bed that night you had a dream, my dear, of Mary Rose and that first kiss, and you cried your very first tear. You told me that, just last week, while we were walking in the park. You held my hand as we walked and talked, for hours, in the dark. I went home, and in bed that night, I had a dream, my dear, of you and me, and our first kiss, and you cried your very last tear. (Refrain Chorus) © 1993 Bobbie Pimm

Sometimes when I write lyrics, I can't help but feel that I didn't write them. I fear that perhaps I heard them once long ago and they got lost in my subconscious until one day they popped back out again. I know that this is not an uncommon feeling among lyricists and musicians. I take the copyright laws very seriously and would never intentionally plagiarize another's work. I honestly believe that I did write these words, if however, you can prove otherwise, let me know and I will remove them.
